In a perfect world, I would spend half my time working on stages shooting stop motion animation and the other half in the outdoors shooting location work, though I know it never works that way. But the reason why I do both is that I think spending time outside allows me to do better work in the studio by reconnecting myself to the way light works in an organic environment. Working indoors helps me not to take for granted what has been shaped and formed for millions of years.
